Videocon d2h:

Videocon Group, a household name for consumer durables, is the seventh company to venture into the foray of Direct-to-Home services under the brand name of “Videocon d2h” with the tag line “Direct Hai Correct Hai”. The other six companies occupying the DTH market in India are Sun Direct, Dish TV,  Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, Big TV and DD Direct Plus.

Videocon d2h Products:

The DTH services provided by Videocon d2h are available through four different types of products including Satellite LCD, Satellite TV, Satellite DVD and Satellite Box (STB).

1. A Satellite LCD is a LCD TV which is enabled with the DTH facility. Videocon d2h is offering 19”, 22”, 26” and 32” LCD TVs in this category.

2. The 19” LCD TV is available in two models at the price of Rs. 13,490 and Rs. 13,990. The 22” LCD TV is for Rs. 15,990 and 26” LCD TV is for Rs. 21,990. The 32” LCD TV is available for Rs. 27,490.

3. A Satellite TV is a regular Flat screen TV which is DTH enabled. There are two options at present for this product including 21” and 29” TVs at the price of Rs. 8,190 and Rs. 11,990 respectively.

4. The Videocon d2h Satellite DVD which is DTH enabled is available for Rs. 2,590.

The Satellite Box consisting of a dish and a set top box as in case of any other DTH service provider’s set-top box is at a price of Rs. 1,790.

The Videocon d2h products are currently available in northern, western and eastern states only.

Channel Packages:

There are two Channel Packages presented by Videocon d2h namely the Gold Pack and Diamond Pack.  The subscribers can opt for Add-on Packages depending on their choice for additional channels.

1. The Gold pack contains 115 channels at a rate of Rs.150 per month and the Diamond Pack contains 160 channels at Rs.275 per month.

2. The Diamond Pack provides all the channels included in the Gold Pack along with certain additional channels including  Star Cricket, AXN, NDTV 24X7, MTV, Times Now, HBO, CNN IBN, CNBC TV18, NEO Cricket, NEO Sports, Zee Sports, ESPN, Ten Sports, Star Movies, Star One and many more.

The Videocon d2h is currently following the market trend of providing festival discount schemes for the consumers on purchase of its products.

The Special Festive Offer of Videocon d2h offers the Satellite LCD at a discount of Rs. 1,325 which includes a 3 month Diamond Pack free as also free  installation of antenna and wall mounting worth Rs. 500 .

The Satellite TV is provided at a Discount Rs. 1,125 including 3 month Diamond Pack free and free installation of antenna worth Rs. 300.

The Satellite DVD product is available at a discount of Rs. 850 including 3 month Gold Pack or 2 month Diamond Pack free together with free installation worth Rs. 300.

The Satellite Box is on offer at Rs. 850 discount combined with 3 month Gold Pack or 2 month Diamond Pack free and free installation worth Rs. 300.

Further, the Annual Top-up Scheme under the Special Festive Offer provides the Gold pack at Rs. 1,600 for 12 months and the Diamond Pack for Rs. 1,500 for 6 months or Rs. 2,900 for 12 months.
