India’s number one DTH player Dish TV crossed another milestone. Dish TV is the first and only DTH player in India to reach 80 lakh subscriber mark. Dish TV is in number one position for the last 5 years. Dish TV now has 250 TV channels and 20 audio channels (radio) on its platform.
Dish TV set a target of reaching 1 crore subscriber base by March, 2011. Dish TV has 30% market share in the Indian DTH market which is growing exponentially. Dish TV added 10 lakh subscribers in the last 6 months and registered 57% growth rate.
Dish TV services are now available in 6,600 towns through 1,400 distributors and 55,000 dealers.
Airtel Digital TV is the fastest growing DTH operator followed by Sun Direct and Tata Sky. Airtel Digital TV added 7 lakh subscribers in just 3 months while Tata Sky is number one in customer satisfaction.

Folks dont get airtel dth connection…..the worst service ever experienced before….the setup has several hrdware issues within 4 months……
Tatasky are cheaters. My stb has been faulty within warranty 3 times and every time it is replaced with old stb. Even after requesting for a new one its replaced with old rotten boxes which breaks down soon again.
This time I will replace tatasky with dishtv.
